Quit Smoking and Your Children Will Benefit Too

Depending on your personality, will power and your natural tolerances against addictions, kicking the nicotine habit will possibly be one of the hardest things that you will ever have to do. If you have children however, you can use this to help motivate yourself to stop smoking or keep on the right path if you've already quit. Not only will you reap the benefits of ridding your life of tobacco but your children will be much better off too.

Children often imitate the actions and behavioral patterns of their parents. If you smoke then it is only natural that your children will be at greater risk of developing the habit as well. All the male adults in my immediate family smoked and it was almost inevitable that I started too. If you quit then your children are much less likely to be tempted to try it.

Just think of all the money that you will save. It may not seem all that much for a pack of cigarettes but think of how it would mount up over the course of a year. You can spend the savings on your children and treat them to the cinema, days out, new clothes or whatever you like.

You can also pass your health benefits onto your children. Over a period of time after you quit your lungs and system in general will get cleaner and cleaner, giving you a much greater level of cardiovascular fitness and stamina. You can use all this new energy to play with the children. Make the decision to quit and you'll be healthier, happier and even more popular than you are now with the kids.

What Causes Snoring? 7 Causes

What causes snoring? This question has several answers. Some of them are within our control, others are beyond our control and related to natural characteristics, which we are born with.

The following causes are discussed in detail and rest assured, they are many cures. Some are surgical, which can be expensive. Also, home remedies for snoring are available.

Cause 1. Gender - Being male has many advantages, but in this case it is a disadvantage. Men have narrower air passages, hence they will struggle to allow air through freely. This is one cause of snoring.

Cause 2. Age - As you grow older your body loses it's flexibility and your air passage gets narrower. This is especially true as you get to middle age and beyond.

Cause 3. Genes - Some people are naturally born with narrow air passages and cleft palates. This will cause snoring as you age, and your body slows down. Thy are even cases where babies and young children snore.

Cause 5. Fitness - Overweight and lack of exercise causes the body to work your lungs excessively. This puts a strain on the air passages causing you to breath poorly and snore.

Cause 6. Lifestyle - Habitual smoking and drinking increases your chances of snoring. This is because the relax the muscles involved with breathing.

Cause 7. Sleeping habits - The position of sleeping contributes significantly to snoring. I am sure those with this problem and who have a sleeping partner, have experienced that tap, that says, change position.

The cures for snoring are easy and involve simple lifestyle changes. This is a problem that can also be signs of many illnesses.

Get Rid of Wrist Pain and Back Pain Without Taking Drugs

When was the last time you danced the rumba? If you watched "Dancing with the Stars" on television lately, certainly you had a jaw-dropping experience at how most of the dancing pairs bent, slid and tumbled as if there were no bones in their bodies. And while they danced, there you were in front of your PC, hammering your keyboard for hours without the slightest clue that repetitive tasks, rather than dance routines, can cause more havoc on your wrist and hands; in fact, these can disable you - for life!

First Signs of Trouble

Have you experienced any of these symptoms?

1. Cramps or stabs of pain on your wrists or hands?
2. Eyestrain?
3. Stabbing pain on the neck or shoulders?

These are just some of the typical symptoms of Repetitive Stress Injuries or RSI. These can easily pass off as fatigue however these symptoms will not simply disappear even with medication. Any form of relief will only be temporary.

However, it is imperative that before you categorize your condition as a case of RSI, you should seek medical help first because there could be underlying health problems that only a professional and duly-licensed health practitioner can distinguish. If symptoms persist despite of proper medical treatment, it would be wise to evaluate your lifestyle habits, as well as those equipments you use for long hours, including your work environment. Collectively, these factors may have caused your injury.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

When repetitive tasks are performed over a period of time using inadequate equipments that do not support the wrists and hands, these tend to damage the tendons and compress the nerve that runs through the tunnel that connects the hand to the forearm. This condition is called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, which is often accompanied by pain or numbness of the wrist or hand. If left untreated, this could cause disability.

At the onset of pain, those who may be suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome often resort to pain relievers, muscle relaxants, massage therapy and other traditional pain remedies. In some cases, when the situation worsens, medical practitioners might recommend surgery. It isn't life or death situation, but hospitalization and rehabilitation expenses are enough reasons for anyone not to ignore the first signs of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Ergonomic Keyboard on the Rescue

Thank those minds that have jumbled two Greek words "ergon" and "nomoi" to produce a third word that is ergonomics as we know it today. More and more people who perform repetitive tasks are experiencing stress relief and even pain relief through the use of ergonomic keyboard, keypad, mouse, ergonomic desks, office chairs, lumbar support and other ergonomic accessories.

An Overview of Self Fertility Massage

We all know that a well-done massage not only reduces pain and relieves stress, but also has other health benefits. Self Fertility Massage™ is completely natural and is a technique that women can use without any external aid to boost their reproductive ability and handle their menstrual cycles better. Another advantage is that the immune systems becomes stronger that help women have better bodies and also enhance their fertility. Caution must be exercised to not employ this technique when a woman is menstruating or thinks she's pregnant. It's also advisable to consult a qualified physician before starting on this massage therapy.

Why Use Self Fertility Massage™

If your fallopian tubes are blocked, or you have Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome or Ovarian Cysts, or Endometriosis, then Self Fertility Massage™ would prove to be really beneficial for you. Sometimes, your infertility could be due to inexplicable reasons or such a condition could even be causing stress. Hormonal imbalances, menstrual cramps, and poor circulation are other reasons why you should consider giving Self Fertility Massage™ a shot. Basically, the massage aims at improving the health by promoting blood circulation thus nourishing the organs.

What Makes Self Fertility Massage™ Work

This system supports the overall health of the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes in addition to having positive effects on the intestines, liver, and stomach. The uterus may be under a lot of duress and hence not seeing enough blood circulation. If you aren't very active physically or you have been operated upon around the uterus region and it hasn't completely healed, then again you could have issues. Fecal pressured intestines, endometrial tissues, and fallopian tubes that are twisted are other painful concerns. Ovaries are positively influenced by this massage because the eggs are supplied with fresh blood rich in Oxygen and nutrients. When you use the Self Fertility Massage™ technique, in case the fallopian tubes are blocked they're cleared and the scar tissues are loosened.

Additionally, the massage helps digestion and elimination of toxins from the body. Even the surplus hormones that could do us considerable damage are flushed out. It's essential that feces are moved out of the human system regularly to not cause any damage to the digestive system. Because of the fecal pressure, there could be unwanted impact on the reproductive organs.

What Comprises Self Fertility Massage™

Chi Nei Tsang ensures that the forces making up our body flow without any obstructions the different parts. Whether you have surplus heat or are deficient in heat, this type of organ massage helps clear blockage and is based on the principle that the body can heal itself.

Deep Tissue Massage is a great way to detoxify and improve circulation. You not only feel relaxed but any adhesions, if any, are broken down and fresh blood flows to the organs. In Myofacial Release, myofacia that could have become twisted due to improper usage is released. This makes it easier for Oxygenated blood to flow to the different muscles and organs.

Acupressure, the well-known Chinese technique centers on the belief that the pressure applied at strategic points can bring about better coordination and balance.

One of the other components of Self Fertility Massage™ is Reflexology. The foot points corresponding to endocrine, digestive, and reproduction organs are worked upon to ensure that the blood flow is encouraged and congestion is removed.

The healing therapy using Castor Oil is another facet of this massage. In this particular method, castor oil is applied on the lower abdomen to facilitate digestion.
