Upright Exercise Bikes, the Best Exercise Bikes

Generally newer designs mean better functionality, but when it comes to exercise bikes, that isn't true. Although the newer mini exercise bicycles and recumbent stationary bikes are assumed to be better by most, that is not in fact true, and the more conventional upright-oriented exercise bicycles still offer more benefits than the aforementioned types. For instance, the fact that upright exercise bikes most closely resemble conventional bikes, and the amount of space they take up. Another prime benefit is the sound, or the lack thereof offered by most modern upright stationary bikes.

Upright exercise bikes allow a riding experience more similar to a conventional bicycle than any other exercise bicycle. Not only do the handle bars, seat and seating position more so resemble a conventional bike than other exercise bikes, but an upright exercise bicycle also allows you to stand and take on a racing-like mode, not allowed by mini exercise bicycles and recumbent exercise bikes. This is a huge benefit as it allows you to place far more tension on your legs, leading to more development of muscle strength and burning of more calories.

Another feature that is offered by stationary upright bikes as opposed to recumbent exercise bicycles is the amount of space they take up. Upright exercise bikes these days take up very little space and can usually be disassembled for storage. Now although they cannot compete with mini workout bikes in this respect, even the most bottom-range upright exercise bike will generally offer far more features than a mini stationary bike. The storage element is key, as for apartment-dwellers and the like, every little bit of space is precious.

Noise is another element in which an upright workout bike will put any other type of exercise bike to shame. The majority of upright exercise bikes use very quiet, yet very efficient magnetic systems, that allow you to watch TV or listen to music or even perhaps read while exercising, without any loud noise distracting you the entire time. Although some do offer air resistance, these are simply for people who prefer the cool breeze and the rustic feel of the fan, however those are rather rare these days.

As visible, not only does an upright exercise bike offer a more realistic feel and take up less space than other stationary bikes, but it'll also do it all quietly, allowing you to actually enjoy your workout. This is all in addition to, of course, the general fact that exercise bikes in general allow you to get the full benefits of a bike ride while allowing you to be in control of everything and being in the comfort of your own house. That all said, it's easy to see why upright exercise bikes are at least MY choice for exercise.

Similarities and Differences of Genital Warts and Herpes

The two most prevalent sexually transmitted diseases are also generally mistaken to be one and the same thing. Here are a few reasons why people think that genital herpes treatment and genital warts treatment are the same:

There is no cure for both diseases but the physical manifestations can be treated. Both of these diseases have skin manifestations. Although there is a way to get rid of them, these are only temporary solutions. Even drastic treatment like electric needle cauterizing won't prevent the warts from growing back after a few days or weeks. On the other hand, even if sores can heal like wounds, they will crop up soon enough as well.

The reason for this is that the virus that causes them may still be alive in the body and can be transmitted.

They are both transmitted through sexual contact: Pregnant women can pass on their disease to their child. Aside from the complications it can bring to the birthing, both genital herpes and genital warts can be acquired close contact of an infected person.

More often these diseases are transferred through intimate sexual contact but there are other ways of passing it on to others. Pregnant women can transfer the diseases to their babies and it can also complicate the birthing process.

These two diseases have many similarities but they are also very different. Here are some of their differences:

They are caused by two different viruses: Genital warts are caused by a virus called human papilloma while herpes are caused by the herpes simplex virus. Both of these viruses can be easily transmitted through sexual contact. And because they are two different viruses, it is possible to be infected by both viruses at the same time.

When that happens, it just so happens that you are twice as unfortunate. In this case, it is best to get a medical professional to evaluate your case and give you genital warts treatment advice.

They develop differently: They can grow bigger and bigger as long as they are not removed. On the other hand, herpes manifest during "outbreaks", where you develop sores on your skin. Eventually these sores will burst, dry up and go away.

Genital warts, unlike regular warts, grow on sensitive parts. They can grow big and block the passages of your body if you do not have them removed. Therefore, genital warts treatment is done by removing them. Genital herpes result in outbreaks of painful sores.

They need to be treated differently: Genital warts treatment can come in the form of medicinal creams or other more drastic means of removal. These medicinal creams can be prescribed by a doctor. He or she can also prescribe other means of wart removal like surgery, nitrogen freezing and cauterizing using electric needles.

The good thing about both genital warts and genital herpes is that they are both preventable. Don't worry about contracting these diseases.

Multiple Sclerosis - Life After Diagnosis and Treatment

Multiple sclerosis, which is often abbreviated to MS, is a chronic disease that attacks the central nervous system. There is evidence that tells us that it is an autoimmune disease, where your body's immune system starts attacking itself and it is not curable. However, if you or someone that you love has been diagnosed with this disorder, it is important to remember that there are many treatment out there that can effectively slow the progression of the disease down. Understanding MS is something that can take some time, but once you have the basic information, it is not so difficult.

MS is very much a disease that differs from person to person, and there are more than fifty symptoms that are associated with this disorder. Some people experience the symptoms in a mild fashion, while for other people, the symptoms are painfully debilitating. Numbness and tingling are two common symptoms, as is bladder and bowel dysfunction and dizziness or vertigo. Spasticity is another sign as is pain that cannot be explained and sexual dysfunction relating to these symptoms. Fatigue and depression are also common. These symptoms can also come and go, which make MS occasionally difficult to diagnose.

When looking to treat MS, it is worth noting that the drugs in question will usually act through slowing the disease. Currently, the most common drugs used to treat MS include Betaseron, Copaxone and Avonex, among others. These drugs are all designed to lesson the frequency of the symptoms and to avoid relapses once treatment has been begun. It is very important to utilize the right drug for treatment. For instance, Avonex is used to treat relapsing-remitting MS and it can reduce the relapse rate by thirty percent. Some side effects do include flu like symptoms with liver dysfunction and depression occurring more sporadically. Betaseron has the same function, but due to the fact that it is injected, it can also cause swelling, redness and pain.

It is worth noting that some of the real issues that come along with MS relate to the complications that are experienced. It is worth noting that the spasticity and the fatigue alone can be extremely problematic, leading to issues that can have results as shortening the life span. Also keep in mind that there is a significant emotional consequence to the disease, which can be as destructive as the physical components.

That being said, however, the prognosis regarding MS can be reasonably good. Maintenance and an attention to triggers can help enormously as can medication that is thoroughly investigated and tested for the person in question. There is also an increased interest in things like diet and exercise being used to treat this disorder. Vitamin D, an increase in Omega 3 fatty acids and an increased intake in antioxidants have all been thought to be helpful.

Take a moment to learn more about multiple sclerosis is something that can help you a great deal. The more information you have, the more informed your decisions will be.

Creatine Monohydrate - What You Need to Know!

A lot of companies claim "GAIN 16 POUNDS OF MUSCLE IN 16 WEEKS ON CREATINE", which is completely false and never going to happen directly from creatine. What creatine actually does is indirectly increase muscle mass by increasing the creatine phosphate levels in the first cycle of power (The Anaerobic Cycle or without oxygen cycle).

This is where the body uses creatine phosphate to reform ADP to ATP and allow the body to keep producing energy. In simple terms it allows you to push out a couple of extra reps per set and allows you to resist fatigue during intense resistance based training sessions.

This isn't to say that creatine is not useful. In fact it is the most heavily researched and scientific backed sport supplement in the world. So it definitely has a place in any serious trainers supplement regimen.

What people lack is understanding of how to take creatine effectively to minimize side effects. Monohydrate which is the original and the best creatine is not well absorbed by the body on its own. The most effective way to drive it into the cells is to create an insulin spike by mixing it with about 20-30 grams of fast acting glucose (dextrose).

This will ensure that most of the creatine is absorbed into the cells and you are not wasting any. The loading theory of monohydrate is just that (a theory), the fact is loading is unnecessary, and all it does is bloat the cells and in a lot of cases upset your stomach. A sufficient amount per day is 10 grams post workout mixed with 20-30grams of fast acting glucose.
